Prodromos is situated at an elevation of 1,600 meters, approximately 2 kilometres before the settlement of Prodromos. At one of the island’s highest peaks, it is surrounded by dense pine trees, which provide a tranquil and enchanted atmosphere. Cyprus Forestry College is a government-sponsored international institution of higher education located in the Lemessos region and a village of Prodromos. The instructional language is English. Since its founding in 1951, the institution has instructed students from Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the Pacific, South America, and the Caribbean in the fundamentals and practises of forestry.
In 2005, there have been 811 college graduates, 327 of whom were international students. The Cyprus Forestry College participates in the “Socrates/Erasmus” and “Leonardo da Vinci” programmes. The school is a student institution that provides its own housing, meals, and transportation.

About Monument
Christodoulides was his original surname at the time he was born in the community of Prodromos, Ottoman Cyprus.
After beginning his religious studies at Trooditissa Monastery, he was sent to Kykkos Monastery. In 1823, 2 years after Greek Revolution and the 9 July killings, he was consecrated a deacon. He worked as a deacon in the Paphos diocese before becoming a deacon for Archbishop Panaretos of Cyprus and following Archbishops Ioannikios and Kyrillos I.
