At Prodromos, there are a number of magnificent churches and chapels. The monastery of Ioannis Prodromos, after whom the community was called, is the principal church and is situated in the centre of the hamlet, among the traditional homes.
In honour of Agios Onoufrios, a special shrine has been constructed in front of the school. The icon dates to the 13th century and is located in the main church of Ioanni Prodromos.
Ayios Nektarios Shrine
Agios Nektarios was born in 1846 in Silyvria, Thrace. His parents were Dimos and Vasiliki Kefala. He was the fifth son in his family, and he was given the name Anastasios during his baptism. At Celia, he was learned the first letters, but due to his family’s poverty, he opted to move to Constantinople to complete his education while also working.
Ayia Triada Chapel
The Agia Triada Church is located a short distance from the town of Prodromos in the district of Limassol, specifically west of the village towards to the hamlet of Paliomylos in a forested area. Moreover, the Agia Triada Church was constructed in 1931 and continues to operate today. The chapel is incorporated inside the cemetery grounds.
